FAQs
What is Testnet Faucet?
A HashKey Chain Testnet faucet is a specialized tool designed for developers. It provides access to testnet HSK, which is essential for testing and debugging your decentralized application or protocol prior to its launch on the HashKey mainnet. On the mainnet, real HSK tokens are required. Most faucets implement social authentication measures, such as requiring a Twitter post or login verification, to confirm that users are real individuals. Additionally, some faucets may place users in a queue, necessitating a wait time before receiving testnet tokens.
What is Testnet Token?
Testnet tokens function as a form of test currency specifically intended for developers. They allow you to conduct thorough evaluations and tests of your HashKey application before it goes live on the mainnet. Utilizing testnet tokens helps ensure that your application operates as expected in a simulated environment.
How to Request Testnet Tokens from the HashKey Chain Testnet Faucet?
To initiate a request for testnet tokens, please follow these steps:
Enter your wallet address in the provided field.
Click the “Send Me 1 HSK” button.
Please note that our system supports standard wallet addresses for receiving testnet tokens; however, transactions involving smart contracts are not currently supported.
How often can I request a HashKey Chain Testnet HSK using my wallet address?
You may request one HashKey Chain Testnet HSK every 24 hours with your wallet address. This limit ensures fair access to resources for all users. Please consider this timeframe when making requests.
The faucet confirmed that it sent me test tokens, but I still have not received them. What could be the reason for this?
The time it takes to receive your test tokens can vary significantly due to several factors. Network congestion is a common issue that may delay the processing of transactions. Additionally, the gas fees set for your specific transaction may be lower than those associated with other transactions that miners prioritize. If you have not received your testnet tokens after several hours, we encourage you to reach out to our support team, and we will be happy to assist you by sending additional tokens.
I am encountering difficulties with the Google Captcha that appears when I request test tokens. What should I do?
This issue is often related to the use of a VPN, which can trigger Google’s security mechanisms and result in blocked requests. Unfortunately, this is an aspect of Google’s functionality that is beyond our control. To resolve this issue, we recommend disabling your VPN temporarily while you attempt to request test tokens again.
